Some suggestions for things to do

The area is packed with things to do both inside and out, caves, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, old towns and chateaux. We have provided some leaflets and guide books to the local area to help you choose; the Michelin guide also includes some suggested driving itineraries.

If you are stuck for an idea or want to book something the lady in the tourist information office in Ste-Alvère speaks both French and English.

Websites are also a good source, try: https://www.northofthedordogne.com

Here are some of the sights and things that we have enjoyed:

Market days – try St-Cyprien on Sunday morning for the full on experience or walk into Ste-Alvère for a coffee on Monday
